When I have some free time and I am in a good mood, I like taking the bus around Singapore. It is much more interesting than walking, taking a taxi or disappearing into the MRT. From a bus, you can actually watch the city.
I especially love double-deckers. They are like small cinemas, except that instead of a screen you have a huge window — and behind it, real life. The view from upstairs is magnificent.

And the best place is the front row on the second floor. It is like a window seat on an aeroplane, only you are not in the clouds — you are right inside the city. You can see everything: tall buildings, narrow streets, green parks.
Even if you have lived here for years, Singapore looks like a different city from that seat.
